DAY 1: MANILA – AUCKLAND (MEALS ON BOARD)

Upon arrival in Auckland, you will be met and greeted by North Island’s Coach Captain.
Departing Auckland, the suburban scenery gradually gives way to farmland and the mighty Waikato River will accompany you for much of the journey through the green countryside. At Fitzgerald Glade, the lush ferns and pretty tree canopy signal the approach into Rotorua.
A geothermal hot spot, Rotorua is full of steaming vents, spouting geysers, and bubbling mud pools. The city is surrounded by mountains, rivers, forests, and freshwater lakes, with natural hot springs perfect for bathing and relaxing. Rotorua is the heartland of Maori culture and an ideal place to experience the traditional customs of New Zealand’s indigenous people.

DAY 3: ROTORUA (B/L/D)

Enjoy the Agrodome Farm Experience.
Agrodome is just a 10-minute drive from Rotorua city center, in the heart of a real 350-acre working New Zealand farm. You’ll hear amazing facts and have a few laughs as you’re introduced to 19 breeds of sheep. Witness a live sheep shearing demonstration and the remarkable farm dogs as they demonstrate their ability to respond to commands and keep those sheep in line. Then climb aboard the all-weather, all-terrain vehicle to join a one-hour guided tour of the farm. You’ll get to hand-feed and take photos with all sorts of friendly animals, including sheep, cattle, deer, llamas, ostrich, pigs, and alpacas. Your visit includes access to the Farmyard Nursery, home to the smallest, cutest animals at the Agrodome. Pet and have your photo taken with cute lambs and other baby farm animals. Then pop across to the herding area to watch a free live dog trial after the show.

DAY 6: QUEENSTOWN – MILFORD SOUND – QUEENSTOWN (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu where the Devils Staircase rest area and viewpoint is a highlight. Continue to Mossburn before joining SH94 and heading to the lakeside township of Te Anau, an ideal place to pick up any last-minute supplies.
Not just a journey, the Milford Road is a destination in itself with the scenic highway featuring spectacular alpine scenery. Be sure to stop at Eglington Valley to appreciate the beauty and sheer scale of the landscape. View the spectacular reflections of the Earl Mountains at the Mirror Lakes and keep an eye out for Kea, New Zealand’s cheeky mountain parrot on the way.

Experience spectacular Milford Sound where sheer granite cliffs tower into the sky and plunge into the depths of clear water while Mitre Peak stands like a massive sentinel, guarding this amazing fiord. DAY 7: QUEENSTOWN – LAKE TEKAPO – CHRISTCHURCH (B/L/D)

Jones Family Fruit Stall is one of the best-known fruit stalls in Central Otago, with people coming from all over New Zealand and the world to visit. The fruit stall stocks a huge array of fresh fruits, dried fruits, nuts, honey products, and vegetables.
The easy drive to Twizel takes you through picturesque sheep-farming country fringed with mountain ranges. The road to Mt. Cook Region hugs the edge of Lake Pukaki. The exquisite opaque turquoise color of this lake and others in the area is caused by fine, glacier-ground rock particles held in suspension. The landscape is a mixture of high-country tussock, farmland, and snow-capped mountains.
Make a quick stop at Pukaki Lookout Point for a panoramic view of Mt. Cook. Return along the shores of beautiful Lake Pukaki to rejoin the main highway. Travel over the brilliant blue Ohau Canal to Tekapo where the Church of the Good Shepherd provides a popular photo stop sitting solitary on the shores of the lake, framed by magnificent mountains.
Enjoy a day of lovely roadside scenery. Drive over the golden tussock lands and wide braided rivers until the impressive green patchwork of the Canterbury Plaines signals your arrival in Christchurch.
